Together, Dondolo Founder Catalina Gonzalez, and Gen Sohr designed a playful capsule collection with vibrant colors as a tribute to love; love for ourselves, love for our families, and love for our friends!
The Dondolo x Pencil & Paper collection includes thoughtfully-made high-quality clothing and hand-painted home decor crafted by Colombian artists. The collection is steeped in bold colors and anchored with hearts, a symbol of Gen’s brand and a shared reminder to spread love. This joyful collection combines Gen's vibrant color palette with Dondolo’s distinct designs and finest details for an optimal blend of sophistication and romance. Hearts, the universal symbol of love, are embroidered by Dondolo artisans on curated European fabrics. The collection names, each in a different language, pay homage to Gen’s favorite words.
Dondolo loves to collaborate with other women-owned businesses. Since their initial meeting, Gen has been a source of guidance and encouragement for Catalina. The breadth of Gen’s work, including founding her company, Pencil & Paper Co., is a “joyful intersection of retail, editorial, and community.” Her vision and one-of-a-kind talent inspire us greatly.
Gen and her team traveled to Dallas in June to celebrate the launch of this amazing collaboration. It was a wonderful two days of events filled with shopping, yummy bites, stories, and laughs. During these eventful days, Gen and Cata sat down for a creative conversation chat. The two of them dove into the creative process, gave business advice, shared manufacturing techniques, and everything they have learned to collaborate for the second time and bring you all something special. Both Catalina and Gen highlighted the importance of supporting other women and how much can be accomplished when you join forces and lift each other up.
